Invoicing updates in Vetocare: Peppol, UBL and more control over invoice preferences

We keep improving Vetocare to make your administration as efficient and future-proof as possible. This update brings important improvements to digital invoicing, with special attention to the Peppol requirement in Belgium.

Invoicing through Peppol is fully supported in Vetocare

Since 1 January 2026, invoices to businesses in Belgium must be sent through Peppol. Vetocare fully supports this.

All Belgian Vetocare customers can send invoices through Peppol directly from Vetocare. In a future version we will make Peppol available to all our customers.

How to get started with Peppol:

• Activate Peppol under Settings > Peppol
• The client file has a new Invoice preferences section
• For each client, you choose whether invoices should be sent through Peppol
• The correct Peppol ID can be recorded right there

When Peppol is set as the invoice preference:

• Vetocare automatically selects Peppol as the sending method
• No e-mail with a PDF is sent any more
• The invoice is delivered straight into the client’s accounting software

This means faster processing, fewer errors and full compliance with Belgian law.

Attach UBL invoices for easier bookkeeping

Besides Peppol, you can also attach a UBL invoice when sending invoices.

The UBL format holds all invoice data in a structured form and is recognised and processed automatically by most accounting packages. That makes booking invoices easier and faster for your clients.

To set up UBL:

• Go to Settings > Invoice settings
• Switch on UBL invoices
• The option is then available straight away when you send invoices

An extra invoice e-mail address per client

To make invoicing even more flexible, you can set an extra invoice e-mail address for each client.

This is ideal for:

• Administrative e-mail addresses
• Accounting inboxes
• External accounting firms
• Foundations
• Financial guardians

You will find this setting under Client > Invoice preferences.
